A woman's bag is her home.  It's the place where we lug our computers, makeup, work files, and everything else we never thought we'd carry around. If you're going to lug so much around, you might as well do it with style.  We're going to show you how.

Utilizing a simple pattern (which you get to take with you), your favorite modern fabrics, and a little bit of time, you will learn to make a reversible round bottom tote bag that will truly make you proud.  We'll also arm you with the knowledge on how to add a large lined pocket to your bag that you can wear in the interior, or exterior.  The choice is yours!

As with most bag making, having the fundamental knowledge of how to structure a bag gives you freedom to express your own creativity with that pattern, making new and different designs along the way.  For this workshop, you only need to know how to operate your machine, thread your bobbin and properly thread your machine. 

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with one finished (and completely lovely) large round bottom tote with pocket, perfect for the market, school, or a day out on the town.   

While simple sewing knowledge is needed in this class, both beginners and advanced sewers are welcome.  Patterns and step-by-step guides will be on-hand, and your instructor will be there to walk you through individual steps if you need advanced guidance.  

WHAT TO BRING TO THE WORKSHOP:  

• 1 yard fabric (outside fabric)
• 1 yard fabric (lining fabric)

Interfacing, fusing, and all other supplies will be provided.  

MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITE:   
To join us for this workshop, you must have taken our Intro to the Sewing Machine workshop, or have knowledge on how to properly thread a machine AND spool a bobbin on your own.  Experience sewing accessories is a plus, but is not required.  

NO NEED TO BRING YOUR MACHINE!  In all bee creative workshops, you'll use our Brother sewing machines to complete your wares (we love our Brother sewing machines.... Great starter machines for all).
