Sewing 102 - Fabric Bins

We know, we know. You like to make stuff.  Cool stuff.  Which means you buy lots of stuff to make stuff with.  And before you know it, stuff is all over your home or studio and it sincerely looks like a craft bomb exploded.   Have no fear, Crafty Folks.  We're here to teach you how to make quick and easy fabric bins and baskets to give all of your much-needed "stuff" a much-needed home.

Utilizing an easy-to-follow pattern, some fusible interfacing, and some modern fabrics, you will learn to make a set of nesting bins that you will absolutely love, and the knowledge to go home and make a million more. If time allows, you can walk away with two (or more) bins by the end of the workshop.  

While simple sewing knowledge is helpful in this class, beginners and advanced sewers are welcome.  Patterns and step-by-step guides will be on-hand, and your instructor will be there to walk you through individual steps if you need advanced guidance.  Because this is not an Intro to the Sewing Machine class, as aforementioned, each attendee must know how to spool a bobbin and properly thread a machine.  

We will have fabric on-hand with which you can make two bins, but feel free to bring along any of your favorite fabrics to create with, as well.  All students will be provided fabric and interface options to create a small and medium size bin as a part of the workshop. 

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:
All materials are provided in the cost of the workshop. 

MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITE:  
To join us for this workshop, you must have taken our Intro to the Sewing Machine workshop, or have knowledge on how to properly thread a machine AND spool a bobbin on your own.  Experience sewing accessories is a plus, but is not required.  

NO NEED TO BRING YOUR MACHINE!  In all bee creative workshops, you'll use our Brother sewing machines to complete your wares.

IMPORTANT NOTE: BECAUSE NO FUNDAMENTAL SEWING WILL BE TAUGHT IN THIS COURSE, WE WILL EXCUSE ANY STUDENTS WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW TO NAVIGATE AN ENTRY-LEVEL MACHINE DURING THE WORKSHOP.  THESE STUDENTS WILL BE INVITED TO RETURN FOR A FUTURE WORKSHOP DATE ONCE THEY ARE ABLE TO RE-THREAD A MACHINE AND SPOOL A BOBBIN ON THEIR OWN.  TO ENSURE THE QUALITY AND ENJOYMENT OF THE WORKSHOP FOR ALL, WE WILL ADHERE TO THIS RULE WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.
