Sewing 102 - Multi-Fabric Boxed Zipper Pouches

NO NEED TO BRING YOUR MACHINE!  In all bee creative workshops, you'll use our Brother sewing machines to complete your wares (we love our Brother sewing machines.... Great starter machines for all).

Whether you call 'em a makeup bag, pencil pouch, artist clutch, or anything else, the standing boxed zipper pouch is a true favorite of all.  A design that has endless pattern possibilities, once you get the basics down on how to pattern this easy design, sky's the limit on the size and shape you make them.  And trust us, you will make LOTS of them.

Utilizing an easy-to-follow pattern and your favorite modern fabrics, you will learn to make a boxed pouch with gusseted corners that will stand on it's own.  You will also learn how to join two fabrics to make a fabulous modern pouch that you will be proud to carry day-in, and day-out.  Are you a veteran of our Zipper Pouches 101 Workshop?  Then this workshop is perfect for you, as it's the next evolution in sewing accessories. If time allows, you can walk away with two pouches by the end of the workshop.  

While simple sewing knowledge is helpful in this class, both beginners and advanced sewers are welcome.  Patterns and step-by-step guides will be on-hand, and your instructor will be there to walk you through individual steps if you need advanced guidance.  

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS: We will have fabric on-hand with which you can make up to two pouches, but feel free to bring along any of your favorite fabrics to create with, as well. All other materials are provided in the cost of the workshop. 

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ: No introductory sewing will be taught in this workshop. Actual previous sewing experience - including spooling and bobbin, and properly threading the machine - is mandatory (we are sorry, there can be no exceptions). Please note that watching a Youtube video or tutorial prior to the workshop on how to thread a machine is not sufficient, as every machine is different, so this knowledge is necessary for each participant to have a successful experience in the workshop.

For the maintenance of our sewing machines (which are easily placed into disrepair if used by untrained hands) as well as for the enjoyment for other attendees who do have the proper experience, any person who chooses to attend a sewing 102 workshop without taking the prerequisite or having prior sewing experience may be excused from attending the workshop, and agree to forfeit your non-refundable registration fee (blitz sale or full price).
