Facial Care 101 :: DIY Botanical Clay Masks

The skin is the largest organ on our body, and as a result, is often the most neglected. Can you pronounce Octenylsuccinate, Stearate, Gluconate, Bismuth Oxychloride? We can't, either. Whether we can pronounce it or not, chances are they're in something you put on your face or body right now.  

In this workshop, you will learn how to make some of the most popular facial clays on the market by hand the old school way, initially using a mortar and pestle (along with the support of some modern electrical grinders to expedite things) to crush dried botanicals with natural clays to create the best botanical clay for your skin type. We'll then look at the properties of essential oils to add to your botanically blended clay to provide extra healing powers. 

In this 1.5 hour workshop, you will learn:

• How to blend all-natural clay ingredients, botanicals and essential oils to create facial masks that are right for your skin type

• How to properly grind botanicals to blend into your clay to fight free radicals, tighten skin, and create the enviable glow you've always wanted
• The proper clay to use for your skin type
• The healing properties of essential oils that will boost your skin's longevity with use of your mask. 
• The proper way to apply your mask at home, and what NEVER to put in a clay mask. 
  

• How natural ingredients can fortify your skin
  

By the end of the workshop, you'll walk out with at least three botanical-blended clays to use at home, and the knowledge to do it again by yourself.
