Candles serve a multiple function in our lives: They create a soothing, calming, aromatic environment, and lights the way when you need 'em to. If you have a home with pets, kids, and simply don't want open flames - but crave the coziness a candle provides - then wax melts or candle tarts are for you. This workshop covers all of these bases so you can have the best of both worlds.
In this class, you will receive a full rundown of basic candle-making equipment, supplies, blending fragrance oils, how to properly apply wicks, and the correct pouring temperature to create botanical wax melts that will be so beautiful that you won't want to use them.
By the end of the workshop, you'll go home with an abundance of knowledge to continue your new favorite craft at home, a lovely floral candle, and two boxes of botanical scented wax melts that you can keep for yourself, or gift to another.
We will be using soy flakes and high-quality clean fragrance oils (phthalate, formaldehyde and paraben free) to create our candles and melts.
This class is limited to students who are age 12 and older, with adult supervision; no children without express permission from the instructor under the age limit, please.
