In this 1.5-2 hour class, you will learn how to make two incredible homemade jams that you will quickly start making again, and again, and again. We'll start with a sweet jam, using strawberries (and no pectin), where you will learn how to make your jam shelf-ready by sealing your preserve with the water bath process.
We'll then move on to creating an incredibly yummy bacon maple jam that has just the right amount of spice. Because our savory jam cannot be preserved with the water bath, you'll have to enjoy it within 4 weeks after making. For non pork eaters, we'll have turkey bacon on hand, as well.
At the end of the hour, you will not only have canned jars of jam, but also the knowledge and skills to make and can your own jams at home. Any time is the right time for jam.
All tools and materials are provided. Class will be 1.5- 2 hours based on the speed and experience of our canners.
Optional: bring your own apron.
