Stamp Carving + Journal Making
Some of today's most beautiful modern papers and fabrics are made with the ancient process of hand-printing.
In this creative course, you'll learn the in's and out's of the proper carving techniques, image transfers, and the process of binding to create your own block-printed journal. Once carved, we'll use your newly-made stamps to create your journal cover, and will show you the process on how to spiral bind your new favorite journal. After the class, you'll have the knowledge and skills set to use your stamp-carving skills to make your own stationery, wrapping paper, gift tags, block-printed tote bags, tea towels (and much, much, more).
By the end, you'll walk away with several wood-backed carved stamps, and one or more printed spiral-bound journals to call your own.
Time: 2 - 2.5 hours
