Block Printing 101
From scarves, to bags, to dresses, block-printing is a style steeped in history. Originating in Eastern Asia and India, this technique is still readily used today to create some of the most bold styles for the home and person. If you like big, bright, modern design, then block-printing is for you.
In this 1.5 hour workshop, you will learn how to utilize both traditional and non-traditional materials (foam anyone?) to create large and small handmade wood-backed block stamps that can be used on both paper and fabric.
By the end of the class, you'll walk away with a few newly patterned tote bags, napkins, and tea towels, along with the skill to carry-on your new-found favorite craft at home.
All materials are included in the price of the workshop, but feel free to bring any item you'd like to block-print on yourself.
