I have been creating things as long as I can remember. I spent the first part of my childhood on a farm in Michigan, watching my mom garden, sew, knit, and crochet. I enjoyed watching her, and as I grew she taught me these skills. After moving to the city, I began using other outlets to express my creativity and soon forgot about what my mother had taught me.
After graduating high school, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design and graduated in 2001. After practicing in the corporate world for many years, I found that even though I was working in a creative career, it was not satisfying my hunger to physically create. I started sewing, crocheting, and knitting again as another creative outlet. Because of my design background, color and texture are important to me. I enjoy creating unexpected color combinations, and also love the traditional baby pink and blues. I love using different fibers with varied weights to create different texture in my goods.
After taking a break from the corporate world, I had my daughter in 2010. I made some things for her, and shortly after friends began asking me to make things for them. I decided to begin selling my baby goods as a means to stay home with my daughter and also satisfy the creative bug inside me.
