We're getting to the point of the year where the weather gets crisp and the sun does down a little earlier in the day, giving us an opportunity to begin to layer our clothing. One great, easy and quick accessory that you can make to add some pizzazz to your fall and winter wardrobe is the fall blanket cape.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to size, cut, and sew a super simple fall cape of your own, made from a fall-appropriate materials, which we recommend:

  • Flannel (IF SHOPPING AT JOANNS, BE SURE TO PURCHASE LUXE FLANNEL.  This fabric will give your cape the flow, drape and movement that it needs to be beautiful).  This our best recommendation for you, as it is the most cost effective and easy on which to learn.
  • Wool blend fabric
  • Heavy weighted linen blend fabric

You'll be the Belle of the Ball and the envy of all in no time. Besides, who doesn't lurve the elegant and sophisticated look a sleek cape can bring a simple ensemble?

By the end of the 2-hour workshop, each participant will go home with (at least) one completed fall cape.
