SEWING 201 - Mini Messenger Bag Class - NEW CLASS!
Designed and taught by Ian Nicholas, come make this adorable mini messenger bag. You'll learn some of the basics of bag making, how to create a shoulder strap and how to install a full lining in your bag. Best of all, you can then apply these skills to creating your own bags at home.
You MUST be able to thread your own machine and have some very basic sewing skills. If you have not used a sewing machine before OR you are rusty, this class will be too advanced for you, so please sign up for the Beehive's INTRO TO SEWING first.
You may bring your own sewing machine or use one of our house machines.
SUPPLY LIST for you to bring:
1/2 yard of fabric for your outer (cover) fabric + strap
3/8 yard of different fabric for your lining.
NOTE: Fabric must be simple cotton (commonly know as 'quilting cotton', NO stretch fabric, no upholstery fabric, no leather or heavy duty fabric)
3/8 yard of fusible fleece (also know as fusible interfacing)
Thread (you may want to select thread color based on your fabric choice)
This class is limited to students who are age 16 and older, no children please.
