Sewing 102 - Simple Fun Circle Skirt
REGULAR PRICE: $48.00
To join us for this workshop, you must have taken our Intro to the Sewing Machine workshop, or have knowledge on how to properly thread a machine AND spool a bobbin. NO FUNDAMENTAL SEWING WILL BE TAUGHT IN THIS COURSE, SO PLEASE BE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO NAVIGATE AN ENTRY-LEVEL MACHINE BEFORE REGISTERING.
NO NEED TO BRING YOUR MACHINE! In all bee creative workshops, you'll use our Brother sewing machines to complete your wares (we love our Brother RLS590 and XL2600i machines.... Great starter machines for all).
Hey, you CAN sew. Once you've made your first successful item on the sewing machine, you'll be ready to tackle it all. In this workshop, you'll learn to sew a simple circle skirt that will be your spring and summer go-to.
Utilizing a circle skirt pattern, a little math, a 2.5" - 3" piece of elastic, a fabulously patterned piece of material, one of our in-store Brother sewing machines, and one hour's time, you'll walk away with a super fun circle skirt, all while asking yourself why you haven't made 50 of these before.
While simple sewing knowledge is helpful in this class, beginners and advanced sewers are welcome. Patterns and step-by-step guides will be on-hand, and your instructor will be there to walk you through individual steps if you need advanced guidance. Because this is not an Intro to the Sewing Machine class, each attendee must know how to spool a bobbin and properly thread a machine.
All attendees must bring 2-3 yards of fabric for their skirt (make it 3 yards if you plan to have it knee length or lower). To ensure the that you have enough yardage to meet your length needs for your skirt, be sure to select fabric that is at least 55" in width (the fabric store will guide you to fabrics that have wider cuts). All other materials are provided in the cost of the workshop.
